Introduction
At EXITEAM, we are committed to providing equal opportunities for individuals with special needs.
According to data from the “Access Israel” organization, approximately 20 percent of the population in Israel consists of individuals with disabilities who require digital accessibility in order to consume information and services on the internet.
The accessibility of EXITEAM’s website and digital assets is designed to make them more available, user-friendly, and convenient for populations with special needs, resulting from various motor disabilities, cognitive impairments, visual impairments, blindness or color blindness, hearing impairments, as well as the elderly population.
Accordingly, we have designed and planned the website to comply with accessibility guidelines. The website meets the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to Service), 2013.
Accessibility adjustments were implemented in accordance with the recommendations of the Israeli Standard (IS 5568) for web content accessibility at Level AA and the international WCAG 2.0 document.
Testing was conducted for maximum compatibility with Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer browsers.
The website provides semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports standard usage patterns for keyboard operation using arrow keys, Enter, and Esc to exit menus and windows. See the Website Operation section for further details. Optimized for viewing in common browsers and for use on mobile phones.
Standards Compliance
- All pages on this website are written in valid HTML5 code. Writing in valid code ensures proper operation of assistive technologies used by individuals with disabilities (such as screen readers for the blind).
- The website is designed with contrasting colors that enable optimal use for the visually impaired and color blind.
- The content on the website is semantic. It contains headings, information tables, lists, paragraphs, standard links, form controls, and image descriptions where meaningful.
- The website contains content areas in frames displayed from other websites. These areas are defined using title attributes. Their accessibility, however, depends on the hosted website—for example, Facebook in the sidebar area on content pages.
- Forms on the website are accessible to screen readers and keyboard users.
Website Display
- You can change the text size on the website using the keyboard (CTRL +) or through the menu.
- Enlarging the text to 200% will display the website as shown on mobile devices—for optimal content viewing.
- The minimum recommended resolution for viewing the website is 1230 pixels width. Note that the website can be viewed even at lower resolutions.
- The website is optimized for viewing on mobile devices (responsive).
- The fonts on the website are sans-serif—meaning they do not contain edges that interfere with reading flow.
- You can browse the website without CSS and receive a proper result.
- If you wish to make other changes to text sizes and colors on the website, you can do so through your browser. You are welcome to follow the instructions for changing colors and fonts in your browser. These changes will affect all websites you view through your browser. Some websites may not respond to the changes because they are not accessible.
How to Operate the Website Using a Keyboard
Repeatedly pressing the Tab key will move you between different links on the page. Pressing Enter will activate the link. Note that pressing Tab will move you to the next link, and pressing Shift + Tab will return you to the previous link.
In addition, the website enables the use of shortcut keys that allow you to quickly reach important pages or areas on the website.
Activation of shortcut keys depends on the browser you are using:
- In Internet Explorer, Chrome, and older versions of Firefox: Press the Alt key and the number or letter key according to the list. For example, if you want to reach the homepage, press Alt+1.
- In Firefox 3 and above: Press Alt + Shift + the number or letter according to the list. For example, press Alt+Shift+1 to reach the homepage.
How to Browse the Website Using a Screen Reader
This information is intended for blind or visually impaired users who use screen reader software. The website designates main content areas and uses ARIA to assist with complex applications such as information carousels on main pages, drop-down menus, modals for displaying images, forms, and tabs.
All menus are built using lists to enable convenient navigation.
Exceptions
It is important to note that despite our efforts to make all pages on the website and other digital assets accessible, there may be parts or features that have not been properly made accessible or have not yet been made accessible.
Please be advised that we at Itanim are working to improve the accessibility of our digital assets, including ongoing accessibility improvements to our websites, as part of our commitment to enable the entire population to use them, including individuals with disabilities.
Supervision and oversight of EXITEAM’s website accessibility was conducted by Halav Udvash Advanced Website Development.
If a user encounters a problem, they are welcome to contact EXITEAM’s accessibility coordinator.
